Rep. Mark Harmsworth appointed assistant ranking member to the House Transportation Committee

Rep. Mark Harmsworth, R-Mill Creek, has been appointed as the assistant ranking member to the House Transportation Committee. Harmsworth is a vocal proponent of transportation reform and accountability.
“We must demand more from the Washington State Department of Transportation before sending them even more of our tax dollars,” says Harmsworth. “I look forward to working on behalf of my district and the state helping to create solutions that benefit our families, communities, and economy.”
The 25-member committee considers transportation revenue sources, as well as other transportation-related public policy including legislation concerning the Washington State Department of Transportation and the Washington State Patrol.
In addition, Harmsworth also serves as a member of the House Technology and Economic Development and Rules committees.
The 60-day session begins Jan. 11, 2016.
