About Rep. Mark Harmsworth
Mark Harmsworth joined the House of Representatives in November 2014. His work at the Legislature is focused on providing practical solutions to the public policy issues the people of the 44th District care about the most.
Mark is a principled conservative. He works with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to support policies for economic growth, education, and relief for transportation congestion. He is currently serving on three House committees covering critical legislative areas – Transportation, Technology and Economic Development, and Rules.
With over two decades in the technology industry, including a successful career at Microsoft, he is committed to working for his community. Mark is a former Mill Creek Mayor Pro-Tem and served two terms as a city council member. He is also a former member of the Seattle Hill Road Traffic Advisory Committee and Mill Creek Police Advisory Board. Currently, he enjoys working as one of the directors for the Everett Community College Foundation and for the Boys and Girls Club of Snohomish County.
Mark lives in Mill Creek with his wife of over twenty years, Sarah, and their three children.
